In the food bank system, facing food allergies or related dietary needs can mean a never-ending search for safe food. In recognition of Gluten-Free Diet Awareness Month, we will be donating 8% of sales to Securing Safe Food (SSF) from Nov. 4-6.
Help us provide US food pantries with recurring, allergen-safe food options that are more useful, varied, and nutritious for households with food allergies, celiac disease, or other medical dietary restrictions. About SSF: Securing Safe Food Corp. is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to fight food insecurity among individuals with food allergy, and to increase the accessibility of allergen-free foods. Led by university and high school students, SSF stocks approximately 30 food pantries in 8 US states with allergen-friendly food options and educates these programs on appropriate storage and distribution of allergen-free foods.
