What are Tigernuts? Are they nuts?Tigernuts, are not nuts at all, but rather edible tubers. They’re the size of a chickpea but wrinkly with a chewy texture and sweet nutty flavor. Tigernuts were traditionally used as both food and medicine. Rich in a variety of nutrients, they have been linked to several health benefits — ranging from better digestion to a reduced risk of heart disease. They are grain-free and nut-free too!
Do I have to use 100% Maple Syrup as the sweetener in your Cookie Mixes? You will enjoy a delicious result using 100% maple syrup, so that’s what we highly recommend. This said, please feel free to experiment with other liquid sweeteners (honey? monk fruit syrup? applesauce?) and let us know how they work! Our Cookie Mix is designed to bring you joy while on a healing diet. If you use an alternative sweetener that better supports your needs, your cookies may end up with a different texture, flavor or consistency. Please reach out to us if you have questions or feedback. We’d love to hear from you! Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
What if I want to use less than the recommended amount of maple syrup?
We formulated the recipes with the perfect balance of wet to dry ingredients to result in a cookie with great texture and flavor. Although we can’t guarantee the outcome, if you choose to add less maple syrup, keep in mind you may need to add more water to get the dough to the correct consistency.
From where do you source your gelatin?
We obtain our gelatin from 2 different companies - Vital Proteins and Zen Principle. Both are derived from grass-fed beef and are Kosher.
